ছোঁড়েনি সেদিন কেউ পারিজাত ফুল
পৃথিবী আপন পথে করেছে ভ্রমণ।
চাঁদেরও হয়নি কোনো হিসাবের ভুল
আলো মেপে দিয়েছিল যেদিন যেমন।

শুধু দুই মাতা-পিতা হল খুশিময়
ভরিল পরম সুখে খালি খালি বুক।
সেদিন যা ঘটেছিল স্মরণীয় নয়
এ অধম দেখেছিল পৃথিবীর মুখ।
